‘It’s been great! Really enjoyed it and loved reading all the work’ Guest Poetry Curator Ciaran Hodgers
Are you an experienced poet, who would enjoy supporting aspiring poets to share their work and build their skills? Then become a ‘Guest Poetry Curator’ for the online platform ‘Poets’ Corner’ for two months. This online platform by arts charity Leaveners aims to showcase and support aspiring poets from all backgrounds through providing exhibition and educational opportunities. Throughout the year, Poets’ Corner also send out Open Calls for ‘Poetry for Change’, such as a recent poetry collection raising awareness of the refugee crisis.
As a Guest Poetry Curator, your main responsibilities would include outreach to aspiring poets, being in charge of poetry submissions, online publishing in collaboration with the poets and support in social media marketing. The role is a volunteer role, which can be done entirely remotely. Please note that no travel or other forms of reimbursement can be given.
Poets’ Corner is a project by art charity Leaveners. Leaveners is a community arts organisation that offers a unique, high quality programme of arts-based workshops, projects and activities. Established in 1978, our aim is to draw upon contemporary Quaker values to explore meaningful interaction and conversations about challenging issues, using arts as inspiration for social change.
