The Black Box

If I sleep as if I died
and you dream as if you know
that life always has a door
opened on the back and a lighted lamp
on the threshold for those who will be at night
to ask news of the man
who is mixing his tracks to yours,
only then you will know the curve
to which often bends your love
more for its pauses than for its use,
and in the vacuum passage of that woman
I’ll finally see an unexpected takeoff.
